The Blue Ash Fire Department and Firefighters Local 3203 invite you to the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb on September 11, 2023, at Summit Park, 4335 Glendale Milford Road, to benefit the Carry On USA Foundation.

The Patriot’s Day event will begin with a moving remembrance ceremony at 8:00 a.m. It will include the Presentation of the Colors, Taps, and a 21-gun salute by American Legion Post 630, an invocation from the Blue Ash Fire Chaplain, patriotic music, and other tributes to honor and remember those who lost their lives during the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.

At 8:46 a.m., the time the first World Trade Center tower was struck by an airplane, participating first responders will begin their climb. They will ascend the Observation Tower a total of 10 times to mirror and honor the 110-floor climb New York firefighters made to rescue victims in the World Trade Center. 343 firefighters died.

There will also be 2,977 flags on the Great Lawn to represent all of those killed in the attacks, a mini-museum, and 9/11 Steel will display recovered steel from the World Trade Center.

The public is invited to attend the ceremony, view the museum, and watch the climb.

Firefighters, police officers, or active duty/veterans of the military are encouraged to sign up to participate in the climb: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/22nd-anniversary-911-memorial-stair-climb-tickets-673072506987?aff=oddtdtcreator
