On Sunday, 2/7/16 around 11:25 AM a shooting occurred in the 11100 block of Oak Avenue. One male victim fled the scene on foot and was picked up by a car in the neighborhood. That car was involved in a crash at Deerfield and Cornell Roads. Three other vehicles were also involved. A three-year-old passenger in the same car sustained minor injuries from the crash and was transported to the hospital. The male gunshot victim was also transported to the hospital for treatment.
A second male sustained a gunshot wound in the shooting and fled the scene on foot. His whereabouts are unknown at this time.
A home in the 5700 block of Florence Avenue was hit by gunfire during the incident. The family was home at the time; however, no one was injured.
A car that had sustained damage from gunshots was found abandoned at the Speedway gas station at Cornell and Kenwood Roads shorty after the shooting. Two male occupants fled the area and their whereabouts are unknown at this time.
Two males were found at the scene of the shooting and were detained for questioning. Their involvement in unknown at this time.
At least ten shots were fired in the incident. Two handguns were recovered at the scene on Oak Avenue.
At this time, Blue Ash officers are processing the crime scene on Oak and Florence Avenues to document and recover any evidence there. We are also interviewing victims and witnesses. This is a lengthy process and we will keep our residents and other interested parties updated through this Facebook page.
