The Blue Ash Fire Department proudly added four full-time firefighters following an official swearing-in ceremony March 9th. All four men were employed at the department part-time before being promoted to full-time status.

Mitchell Cordell started with the Blue Ash Fire Department as an intern from Cincinnati State, where he is currently pursuing his paramedic certificate. He began working for the department part-time in October of 2015.

John Anderson began his career with the Blue Ash Fire Department in March of 2016, after gaining experience with the Miami Township Fire Department and the Deer Park/Silverton Fire Department. Prior to entering the fire service, Anderson worked as a strength/conditioning coach for 10 years. He is currently in paramedic school through the Cincinnati Fire Department.

Scott Reed graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2009 and began working part-time for the Blue Ash Fire Department in 2014. Reed also served as a paramedic/firefighter for the Loveland-Symmes Fire Department for 5 years.

Jay Yeranko joined the Blue Ash Fire Department as a part-time paramedic/firefighter and fire inspector in 2008 after working for the Florence Fire Department in Kentucky for 10 years. When Jay isn’t at the fire department, he can be found spending time with his wife and five children.
