Blue Ash files joint appeal opposing Duke Energy pipeline project

(April 15, 2020 - Blue Ash)

In late November, the Ohio Power Siting Board approved Duke Energy's Central Corridor Pipeline Project along the western (alternate) route.

Today the City of Blue Ash filed a joint appeal to the Ohio Supreme Court opposing the Ohio Power Siting Board’s approval of the Duke Energy Central Corridor Pipeline Project. Evendale, Reading, and NOPE are also parties in the joint appeal. These parties will be filing a motion for stay pending appeal on April 16. If granted by the Court, the stay would stop all construction activities while the appeal is decided.

Although the appeal was filed today, the project will continue to move forward unless and until the stay is granted. Duke will be contacting customers along the route, as necessary, to gather additional information and/or acquire easements.  Duke will also be seeking construction permits.
