Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has appointed Blue Ash Councilmember Lee Czerwonka to the Statewide Emergency Services Internet Protocol Network (ESINet) Steering Committee.

ESINet is a network capable of connecting calls, texts and other forms of media from the public to 9-1-1 Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs), according to the 9-1-1 Ohio Program Office website.

“I look forward to working with the State ESINet Committee and our legislature in updating the State’s 9-1-1 funding system and creating the next generation of 9-1-1 emergency communications technology for the State of Ohio,” Czerwonka said.

Czerwonka’s appointment to the ESINet Steering Committee was announced on February 28, 2020, in a news release from the Governor’s Office.

Czerwonka is also the current Chairman of the Hamilton County Communications Center Board of Advisors. He has been on the Board since 2013 and has been Chairman since 2018.
