Ceremony in Blue Ash will mark American Legion 100th Anniversary

A ceremony will be held on Monday, September 16, at Blue Ash Bicentennial Veterans Memorial Park to recognize the 100th anniversary of The American Legion.

The American Legion NE Post 630 in Blue Ash will present a Commemoration Plaque to the City of Blue Ash during the ceremony at 7:00 p.m.

The plaque, which will be permanently mounted on a bench in the park, reads in part, “formed by an Act of Congress on September 16, 1919, The American Legion has stood as the conscience of a grateful nation - honoring our veterans whose e­fforts and sacrifices protect the Liberty of our nation.”

The public is invited to attend to ceremony.  

A note to residents who live near Blue Ash Bicentennial Veterans Memorial Park: there will be rifle volleys (gunshots) during the ceremony.
