Open House announced for Oak Park renovation proposal

In keeping with our strong traditions of striving to provide superior amenities throughout the City of Blue Ash, the City recently examined Oak Park.

A thorough review of the Hazelwood Community Center determined the facility’s infrastructure is aging and many of its offerings are past their useful life. Additionally, the Hazelwood Community Center has experienced a steady decline in usage, while shelters at the Blue Ash Nature Park are utilized hundreds of times annually. The City has also continuously received many requests for restrooms and a picnic area at Oak Park.

To better serve the Hazelwood community, the City recently developed a proposal to renovate Oak Park and replace the outdated center with a beautiful community shelter, restrooms, new playground, and upgraded parking. These changes will elevate Oak Park with new amenities and allow it to be enjoyed by many more families for decades to come.

The City of Blue Ash is hosting an Open House on the project at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 3rd. Hazelwood community members are invited to attend the event to learn more and offer feedback. The Open House will take place inside Blue Ash City Council Chambers, located at 4343 Cooper Road.
